biography

where it all started.

My passion for art & design began when I received my first charcoal drawing set for Christmas at 10 years old. Little did I know that this humble present would unlock a world of boundless creativity and self-expression.

With every stroke of my pencil, I felt transported into a world of my own making, where the colors, shapes, and textures of my surroundings came to life. I fell in love with the way that my sketches captured the essence of the beauty I saw in the world around me.

When I got my first computer, I ventured off paper and into digital media creation. I directed a short film when I was 12. Designed graphics for a study abroad program and for my friends. Delved into the world of urban planning and design at the FutureCity competition.

Today, I am proud to say that my passion for art and design has led me on a journey of discovery and fulfillment. With every project I undertake, I strive to capture the beauty and inspiration that first captured my heart so many years ago.

UltraClear Laser

Acclaro's UltraClear Laser is an all-in-one laser treatment for skin rejuvenation. I redesigned the patient-facing informational banner placed in medical offices based on patient and physician feedback. I also created intros and outros for video content and marketing.

User demographics: women in their late 20s and 30s and middle-aged women seeking improvement from various skin conditions.

User and physician critique of original design:

• Patients tended to be older than the women displayed in the image, and physicians wanted the banner to be more representative of a more mature audience
  
• Wanted a new slogan that is more captivating than: "The Laser You Have Been Waiting For"
• Wanted a design that was overall more sleek, streamlined, and aesthetically pleasing

My design: When redesigning the banner, I wanted to empathize with the patients partaking in the laser treatment by imagining what kind of banner they would want to see when they walked into the medical office. I did user research and reached out to real patients who had taken a laser treatment before to better understand my audience. Then, I incorporated both user and physician critique of the original design to redesign the banner.

Brand Identity

Starting my own cosmetics business was a pivotal experience that broadened my creative expertise. I learned how to manage every aspect of running a business, including product development, user research, marketing, and curating a unique brand identity to empower women's self-expression through makeup.

Content Creation

As a social media manager, I created content and media tailored to specific target audiences. My expertise in graphic design allowed me to create visually stunning posts, and I also produced and edited engaging videos to drive audience engagement. I gained valuable experience in product photography, ensuring that all visuals were of the highest quality to effectively showcase products to customers.
